Pleasant
City Inn Paris is a simple hostel that delivers price, location and a surprisingly well-engineered bed pod, but underperforms on cleanliness and on-demand reception. Guests who arrive within reception hours and prioritise transit access tend to leave satisfied, the trade-off is the renovation noise and the 13 m² dorm footprint.
Right next to Crimée metro and the buses. About 25 minutes to the Eiffel Tower, lots of restaurants and bakeries close by, and Aldi and Monoprix within walking distance. The receptionist was helpful, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom is clean and new with good hot-water pressure. Reception opens late, the lift wasn't working so it was the narrow stairs, and there's no real seating in the compact room.
Booked the four-bed female dormitory. All beds had separate privacy curtains, the en-suite washroom was a real plus, and the room stayed warm and comfortable overnight.
They try to do everything to make you happy. The place was clean.
Pleasant overall. Good value and good location, but it was not particularly clean and the rooms felt very cramped.
Beds were fine and the curtains were a nice touch. Renovations were going on while I was there, workmen actually came into the room one day. Without that, it would have been an average stay.
