Where it loses points is room condition and housekeeping consistency: this is a 1967 building, not a refurbished resort, and guests expecting boutique-hotel finishes for Pilbara prices are routinely disappointed with cleanliness and value. Book it for what it is, a working tavern-hotel with one of the best beer-garden views in WA, the closest accommodation to Murujuga, and free, ample parking for cars, boats and trailers.
Beautiful views, fantastic bar and great staff. We booked an ocean-view room and were downgraded to a no-view room, but a 75 AUD bar credit took the sting out of it. The room itself felt very dated.
Last-minute solo stay. Very close to an off-leash dog beach, stunning sunsets, comfortable clean bed and a hot shower. Shared the property with a lot of FIFO workers, would like to see more attention from management on the grounds and bins.
