Abbotsford International Airport, a smaller commercial gateway, is about 40 miles south. The nearest VIA Rail station is at Agassiz, five miles away, but passenger service through Agassiz is sparse in 2026, most visitors arrive by car. Free private parking on site means guests bypass the metered Esplanade parking that runs June–September.
For day trips, Sasquatch Provincial Park (10-minute drive north) covers four small lakes and rainforest hiking. Bridal Veil Falls, Canada's sixth-highest waterfall, is a short drive south-east. Sasquatch Provincial Park
10 min drive
About a 10-minute drive north of the village. Four small lakes, Hicks, Deer, Trout and Bench, sit inside a Coast Mountain rainforest with loop hikes named after the Sasquatch legend that gave the park its name. Co-managed with the Sts'ailes Nation, who host their annual Sasquatch Days on the Harrison lakeshore each summer.

A short drive south-east through Agassiz, then a 15-minute forest walk from the car park brings you to the base of Canada's sixth-highest waterfall, a 122-metre cascade that flares out like a bridal veil. Best in late spring when snowmelt is at its peak.

Harrison Hot Springs is a single-street resort village wrapped around the southern shore of Harrison Lake, where a 65 °C natural sulphur spring has been drawing visitors since the 1880s. The lake stretches more than 60 km north into the Coast Mountains and is calm enough at the village end for paddle-boarding, swimming and lazy beach afternoons through summer. On a clear morning the mountain reflections off the still water, visible directly from the King balconies at Spring Villa Hotel, are the kind of view bigger resorts charge several times the rate to put you in front of.
The village fills up between May and September: lake water is warm enough to swim, all the boat rentals are running, and mid-July is dominated by the Harrison Festival of the Arts (10–19 July in 2026), a 10-day music, arts and artisan-market event held next door at Memorial Hall. Shoulder seasons, November through February and the second half of October, are the quietest and the cheapest, with the mineral pool open year-round and bald eagles flocking to the lower Fraser in winter.
