Blackpool Tower
A short tram ride south and you're at the foot of the 518-foot Tower, opened in 1894 and Grade I listed. The same Victorian building holds the Tower Eye observation deck, the famous Tower Ballroom with its sprung floor and afternoon dancing, the Tower Circus and the Dungeon. The Comedy Carpet sits at its base, and from there the Golden Mile, the Comedy Carpet, Madame Tussauds and Sea Life are all within a short stroll.
